Discovering Sustainability with Play Beyond at Earth Explorers
Play Beyond had the fantastic opportunity to host the Earth Explorers event at Sengkang Library, part of the Go Green SG initiative. Led by the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (“MSE”), Go Green SG is a nationwide movement aimed at encouraging collective action towards a sustainable future for Singapore. This initiative features a series of sustainability-related events and activities, organized by various People, Public, and Private (3P) partners.
A Day of Fun and Learning
Earth Explorers was a day filled with engaging activities designed to inspire and educate children about the importance of caring for our planet. Families joined us for an adventure where sustainability met excitement, and kids embarked on a journey to become Earth heroes.
Event Highlights
- More than 100 kids participated and had fun while learning about sustainability
- Multiple interactive stations and games including bowling, fishing, ball maze, matching card games, all designed to teach children about sustainability through play
- An upcycling station where children unleashed their creativity and created toy buses and rockets out of discarded household products
- Collective effort to paint and decorate a magnificent train made of cardboard
- Our Earth Explorers’ heroes received a plantable pencil from Purple and Pure, which could be planted to grow into edible coriander, as a gift to thank them for helping to save the planet
